Millionaire "adventurer" Steve Fossett is nearing the completion of his non-stop, solo flight around the world. Fossett previously circumnavigated the globe in a balloon and broke the speed record for sailing around the world. Virgin chief Richard Branson is footing the bill for Fossett's latest adventure. The plane, dubbed the Virgin GlobalFlyer, alone cost $1.5 million, but Branson has declined to list the total cost of the record attempt, which includes picking up many of the expenses for the international media covering the event.
